Moor End Technology College

Moor End Technology College, opened in 1972 as Moor End High School and has been working closely with the Asian Voices Research Project. The Assistant Headteacher Miss Debra Awty welcomed the project and gave Asian Voices the opportunity to hold several presentations at the College in which students from all year groups were introduced to the Asian Voices Research and The University of Huddersfield’s Centre for Oral History Research.

On March 24th 2009, we held an Oral History workshop at Moor End Technology College in which students learned interviewing techniques and had the opportunity to interview South-Asian adults on their life and experiences of living in Huddersfield.
